Muscat – A beauty in the midst of mountains and deserts

Muscat is the largest metropolitan city of Oman calling itself as a ‘Global City’. The economy of this city is majorly contributed from petroleum, trade and porting. The beautiful landscapes of Muscat are decorated with rock-filled Western Al Hajar Mountains. This scenic beauty becomes an abode for nature lovers as this city holds a space on the coastal line of Arabian Sea. This beautiful National Monument was built as a mark of Oman’s 25 years Renaissance. The fifty meters tall tower is decorated with Omani murals and four large clocks on each side of the tower.

Mutrah Corniche:

Make yourself available on one of the sunsets at this location to witness an array of latticed mosques and beautiful buildings of Mutrah Corniche.

Muttrah Fort:

Portuguese built this in 16th century as a symbol of their supremacy in Oman. This enchanting beauty was the place to conduct military practices and also to keep prisoners.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque:

This is a stunning beauty showing the architectural skills of the ancient Muscat. It took 6 yrs to construct this incredible mosque and this was built with 300,000 tons of Indian sandstone. Don’t miss this place if you want to know the culture and history of Oman!

Muscat for food lovers:

Oman people are coffee lovers. Every street has a collection of little houses or hubs which are made into a coffee shop. You can also find fresh fruit juices at stalls inside the Mutrah Souq.
